Chemuyil, Kantenah & Paamul

CHEMUYIL - Chemuyil is a beautiful bay with soft white sand surrounded by the jungle. The water is shallow with excellent visibility and a clean ocean floor. This makes it an ideal place for young children. There are both camping facilities and hotel accommodation available, along with restaurants with excellent seafood. but now are building a big resort, and in this year will be open to the tourist.

The beach at Xcacel is a preferred nesting site of the marine turtles. Because of the brilliant white sand and calm waters, it is a wonderful place to spend a quiet afternoon. On the south end of the bay sits a small cenote. This is just a beautiful beach on the Caribbean. There are camping facilities and a small restaurant features great meals of the region.

KANTENAH - Kantenah is 20 miles south of Playa. If you are looking for a place to rest and relax this is the place for you. It is easy to reach and has small seafood cafe.
