I would recommend you do not stay all inclusive, I think the el Dorado is. The el Faro is a very nice little hotel with a beautiful pool and grounds.We didn't stay there, but did walk around the grounds. The Omni in Puerto Aventuras is small with a nice beach and private jacuzzi's on each terrace. I haven't been there but heard good things about it.The Porto Real is nice and you can just keep your wristband in your wallet, however, you might get hasseled. We stayed at the Presidente on Cozumel for our honeymoon. Other than one jerk that worked at the front desk, it was great. They have rooms right on the beach (ours wasn't)It's fun to rent a car and drive around the island exploring beaches,and no crowds!
